Humanities: We are beginning Chapter 7 in Social which looks at historical examples of rights and how the Charter of Rights & Freedoms came to exist. For ELA, we have completed our novel study and are now working on a Choice Board Project where students will complete 2 tasks, one that is on the creative side and one with an emphasis on writing. Nov. 21 Please use your My CBE Account You will sign up for Ms. Love & Ms. Stvarnik together (click Team Teachers) All interviews are online Interviews are Thurs, Nov. 24 (4:30-8:00) and Fri, Nov. 25 (8:30-2:30) There have been a lot of absences, please have your child check the "Missing Work" on Google Classroom to see what they may still need to do.  Announcements: Please remind your child to check Google Classroom if they have been absent, homework and handouts have been posted. Parent Teacher Interview sign-up will open on Mon, Nov. 21 @ 9am November 24 th , they will be from 4:30 to 8:00pm and will be in person. November 25 th , they will be from 8:30 to 2:00pm and will be online via TEAMS.   Make sure your child is bringing proper gym shoes to school, boots should not be worn in gym or in class. This week... Humanities: We will wrap up our introduction to the Charter of Rights & Freedoms. Students will watch Zootopia and analyze the film for aspects of the charter. They will submit a paragraph detailing their observations. Students will also receive a review guide for Chapter 2 of Social and will continue with their Thirst read-aloud.  Announcements: Remembrance Day Assembly - Thurs, Nov. 10 (wear formal uniform) No School - Fri, Nov. 11 Please remember to dress appropriately for outside recess - wearing coats, toques, mitts, boots, etc. Also, students should have indoor and outdoor shoes, especially for gym.
