 Announcements: No School - Friday, Dec. 23 Spirit Week Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Twin Day Wednesday: Ugly Sweater Day Thursday: House Colours (Red) Candy Cane Grams - selling at lunch in the rotunda This week... Humanities: In Social, students will look at how Indigenous collective rights began by looking at the Treaty of La Grande Paix de Montreal. In ELA, students will watch Dr. Seuss' The Grinch and complete accompanying activities on figurative language and opinion writing. The Grinch Opinion Paragraph: Due Thurs, Dec. 22 French: Students will complete their research on meals in France and then work to design and describe a Holiday sweater.  Phys Ed & Wellness: Students will analyze a digital conflict and consider different perspectives. In Phys Ed, students will participate in a variety of large group games such as 9 Square, Mat Race, etc.

 Announcements: We Care Donation Drive - Money is accepted until Friday This week... Humanities: We will complete our information on the Supreme Court by evaluating a court case. We will then begin to look at the history of collective rights by studying the Grande Paix de Montreal Treaty. In ELA, we will be doing holiday-themed reader's theatre. Students will be working in groups to practice their reading fluency, pacing, and vocal expression. They will present to the class on Friday. Stan Kung vs Police Court Case Evaluation - Due Tues, Dec. 13 Reader's Theatre Presentations - Fri, Dec. 16 (all scripts are on Classroom for you to practice!) French: We will work on saying I like (J'aime) vs I don't like (Je n'aime pas) in relation to food. Ratatouille Food Project - 65: Due Mon, Dec. 12 | 62: Due Tues, Dec. 13 Phys Ed & Wellness: We will begin to talk about "Digital Drama" and being positive digital citizens.  Announcements: We Care Donation Drive We are looking for two types of donations: Money and gently used items. The items can be anything from books, toys, art, jewelry, and kitchen gadgets (just not clothing). The items will be donated to a community school that has a yearly holiday market and the items are available for students to buy ($0.25 each) for their friends and family. Donated money will be converted to gift cards and used to support families in the community. Bring items to homeroom between Nov. 30 and Dec. 9 Money is collected until Dec. 16 This week... Humanities: We will finish up our Thirst Choice Board projects. In Social, we will continue to look at the history of how Canadians have the rights we have today.
